Sunbutter Banana Bites

photo 55.jpg

Combining a few of my favorite things in one AND it’s only 4 ingredients. Does it get any better!? I love an easy sweet to have in the freezer for when I want a little something. Which is usually most nights! haha I love these because you can easily switch them around based off what you may have at home right now. Any kind of chocolate and nut butter would work! I’ve been loving the Sunbutter Organic Sunflower Butter as a switch up from the usual nut butter. I love how this one is completely organic roasted sunflower seed as the only ingredient. All you need is a little dollop of this in each banana sandwich and it’s perfect!!

I hope you love these little treats as much as I do!

Ingredients:

  • 2 bananas

  • Organic Sunbutter (just enough for the inside of the banana)

  • 1 cup chocolate chips (dark, semi-sweet, any kind will work!)

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (melted)

  • Optional (but highly encouraged): sea salt for topping

Directions:

  1. Begin by slicing banana coins (not too thin or thick)

  2. Sandwich two banana coins with a little Organic Sunbutter. Place on a piece of parchment paper (**Make sure you use parchment paper or else you will have bananas stuck to the plate haha).

  3. Place in a freezer for 4+ hrs. Key to make sure they are pretty frozen before dipping in chocolate!

  4. Melt 1 cup chocolate chips with 1 tbsp coconut oil

  5. Dip each banana sunbutter sandwich in the chocolate until completely covered in chocolate. (I just use a spoon here to make sure it gets coated)

  6. Top with a little sea salt!
