Your Sanctuary 04/30/2010

"Within you there is a stillness and sanctuary to which you can retreat at anytime and be yourself." Hermann Hesse

I wanted a perfect ending...

Now I've learned the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next.

Delicious Ambiguity!

Success 09/22/2009

To laugh often and much,
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children,
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends,
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others,
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child or a garden patch...
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.

This is to have succeeded!
Ralph Waldo Emerson

"A perfect parent is a person with excellent child-rearing theories and no actual children".  Dave Barry

Courage 04/01/2009

"To act courageously is not to be without fear; but rather it is to go forward in spite of fear." Kate Quinlan

Life & Love 03/04/2009

"Life is short, love is hard." Greg Brown

"You have brains in your head and feet in your shoes
You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.
You're on your own and you know what you know
And you are the one who'll decide where to go."
Dr. Seuss

Life is a sacred journey...
And it is about change, growth, discovery, movement, transformation, continuously expanding your vision or what is possibly, stretching your sould learning to see clearly and deeply, listening to your intuition, taking courageous risks, embracing challenges at every step of the way.
You are on a path.....
exactly as your are meant to be right now....
And from here, you can only go forward, shaping your life story into a magnificent tale of triumph, of healing, of courage, beauty, wisdom, power, dignity, and love....Caroline Joy Adams

Be Done With It 09/15/2008

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it as serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense." Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Spring has come home with her world-wandering feet.
And all the things are made young with young desires."
Unknown

To live at the beach
To be passionately in love
To eat chocolate chip cookie dough
To read late into the night
To be a singer or an architect
To travel to Fiji
To write a novel
To live with abandon

What are your "young" desires?
Either the desires of your youth or the ones you think you are too old or too responsible for now?

Do your choices now reflect these desires? Could they....
